Hello! The new j1s has just arrive and some of them are joining Lifesaving soon. It is so exciting. I knew a very enthusiastic guy called Wee Chong who is at the booth. Anyway, tmr will be our HCA HOSPICE booth for Youth Connect 2009. We just need to do some last min touch ups and we are all set. Hmm... coming up will be the NTU mass swim this friday. Woo.. Such a 'tidy' office...

Hahas it has been a long time since i blog already.. maybe because i m a bit slack in this part here. LOLS
This attachment has been overwhelming for me. It has greatly exposed me to the medical field and i learnt many important values so far.

On the 1st day I went for their Centre of Health Services Reseach(CHSR) meeting at Boywer's Block where my stoning begins..lols. I managed to stay awake though. ^^ I also saw many food on the table but I don't dare to eat them but my mentor, Mr Tong, who preferred to be called Shao Chuen kept eating! Hahas.
Later I went to a Public Insurance of Australia's talk which is more boring but the prof was being hit by many questions that he can't answer.. very suay.. ^^

Overall my job is to do a project on Health Literacy which I need to Research, Focus Groups, Present and maybe a ?Report? Most of the time i am at the office at DDB BlK 226 but recenty I went to the SGH to measure the waiting time of the patients at the Diagnostic Radiology BLK 2.

It is one of the best times in my attachment. I will accompany the patients around while and when they are taking their X-rays. Most X-rays are Chest, Knees and the Spine. Now I know the department very well! HAhas. I am also in good relations with the Receptionist, the radiologists and even the NYP radiologists in training. I really enjoy being with the patients (which is much better than in the office doing research xP) I manage to give and receive happiness too ^^ I hope the study can help them increase their satisfaction and receive their treatment fast.

There are many interesting stories, complaints and etc..etc... ^^
Some say the TV only shows Channel News Asia (CNA)..they want HBO lols. Today i just saw the HBO at the private Outpatient Imaging Centre. Because the machine to scan for cervical spine broke down again. The private clinic is much nicer but the process is very slow.. Dunno why? hmm...

Its been 1 year and 2 months since the fifth album is out and we finally got to hear a new fantastic range of songs from JJ. Woo! JJ Rox! JJ songs never fail to disappoint me. Nice one JJ! Hahahas... A lot of things are happening lately..... Promos ended.... Open House coming, then Chinese A level and PW OP is coming... the stress level is constantly there... haizz... For open house i need to organise my lifesaving CCA booth with my team as well as the notice board which is behind time... OMG... hahhas relax ... On open house we will have water bomb games or maybe a live demo on CPR lols... and of course the usual displaying of equipments...etc.... However, don't forget my CG stall 08S112... they will be selling personalised mugs at $5?? Hmm... is that expensive? Not sure though... but it is for the Strait Times Pocket Money Fund anyway... Since its for charity, why not give it a try? Hahas, so come down to MJC this friday, 3 Oct 2008 from 12pm to 6pm... for this wonderful open house to support my CCA n my CG... Hey don't forget the Inter-House Mass Dance which i would also be part of it! HAHas...

These days i have been very busy and i started to get a bit lazy of blogging.... all the homework and revision to be done is driving me nuts! Lols all the excuses....

There was some hit events that happened.....
1. PE elective- Ice Skating
It is at the Jurong Entertainment Centre the Fuji Ice Palace. Wooh... This is the 1st time ice skating. The skating shoes stink as well as the place. Haizz... what a disappointment with such a horrible presentation. Furthermore, our coach does not teach as well as the other coach beside us. He was slow and I just don't really like him. However, there are good things too! I interact more with my PAE friends, took some photos and learn how to ice skate with some skills like the '2 feet glide', '1 feet glide'.... Also, I must not forget Joseph's help... Thanks for the jeans and gloves... I appreciated it. ;-)

2. Trilympic-CIP
Before this event, I need to sell 20 pledge cards for $2 each. Total, I should have $40 but i don't know how I sell them that I actually got $42...Hahas over-sold... We include Nicholas, Bi Jie, Yong Keong and some other Meridians got to Toa Payoh Stadium and are suppose to clock distance by Running or Spinning. Actually, I am quite disappointed as there is suppose to have the swimming component but now its GONE! It became a BILYMPIC? Oh well.... The incentive of running for 50 laps=20km or spinning for 40km is to get a certificate! Waa... Not bad so I took up the challenge... Spinning was easy in just 2 sessions of 45 mins each, I already got the cert but for running it took hours... Sianz... However, I got 2 certs and I got the great ense of satisfaction! OH YEAH!

Kkz stop for now.... Tmr still got Australian Chemistry Quiz... Wish me LUCK! Hahahas ^^

Yo! Now i am a official lifeguard/ lifesaver! Yesterday, 8 lifesavers went on a expedition to take a Bronze Medallion Test..... Its was tedious with much sweat and blood(Hehes...jus kiddin). Finally, we made it! There are 0 failures! WooOo!!!
All thanks to Hua Bin aka Anaconda V.... He is a cool and yellow coach.
We can now be full/part time lifeguards and perform CPR legally...
Trust us! We lifesavers can do it!

Furthermore, we have a upcoming inter-JC swimming competition this Thursday and Friday at Singapore Sports School at 2.30pm. Hence, come on down to root for us! MJ MJ Woosh! ^^

I bought it at the PC show and it costs $1600 after GST... -.-
Its a HP tx2000 with all the regular laptop functions like 1.3 megapix webcam, mic, fingerprint reader, DVD-RW, 3 USB ports, 5-in-1 card reader, WIFI, Bluetooth, 4/8 cell batt, 12.1 inch brightview TOUCH screen, Altec Lansing speakers, Windows Vista Home premieum, AMD Turion 64 x2 (2.0Hz), Nvidia GeForce 6xxx......

Thats all i gona say about it... I gotta make full use of this for my work/studies!!!

Hi! Its been quite a while since i online and blog... I just came back from the tired but fun journey of Treasure8 Maxar Challenge.
My team name is PARAGON. Hmm... Shopping Centre??

We are actually raising funds for the SPASTIC CHILDREN'S ASSOCIATION OF SINGAPORE...

On the 1st day (Friday, 6th June 2008)
We went to Toa Payoh. We were given tidbits to sell. I remembered we had to pack goodie bags of tidbits and had no plastic bags so we had to resort to taking those transparent bags from NTUC to package them. Lols... One incident is that Wei Neng and Jen Hun got interviewed by a reporter by some unknown I channel??? The reporter asked about the usuage of mobile phones for entertainment. However, the thing i hate most about the reporter was that he only donated $1 ! Its $1! OMG so giam siap..... Intially our street sales are really bad... but after the door-to-door sales at night, our sales increase tremendously! What a relieved....

Kkz, I will update this and be excited for my up-coming Mario Kart Wii Review!

Monday, 2 June 2008, LS outing-- Katong Shopping Centre

We went to eat at Burger King after our Monday training and went to sing K at KSC.
Directions to go there: If from Toa Payoh, take to Paya Labar MRT and take a bus 10 there.
Buses available: 12, 14, 10 and some others..lols
Most of the J2 went to play LAN but most of the J1 went to sing K. The place where we sing K is recommended by Di Wei, J2. It is the Teo Heng Karaoke Music Centre at the 1st floor. Its to the left from the entrance. We went to a "LARGE" room which costs us $12 per hour and the drinks cost us $1 each. About 9 people went there and we paid about $5-$6 each.
I sang till my throat gets a bit hoarse. We sang many chinese songs as well as english songs but the English MVs sucks to the core. It look like just random video found on the web and just inputting words into them.... =.=
After that, we had our dinner together and went home.

Sunday,1st June 2008, 4/8 gathering--E!Hub

Woo!! Met many old classmates and looking them changed... hahas
All those going to JCs did not change much but those going to Polys changed quite a bit. Eng Heng and Christopher hair are as long as Rapunzel... LOLS . Aaron is looking more cool...
We went to the Orchid Bowl and I knew i suck... but at least I am not a really bad one... Eng Heng had so many gutters that he became very frustrated.. HAhhahas
Later, Nicholas, Alvin, Bernard, Daniel, Zul and me watched 'Narnia and the Prince Caspian' we watch the 9.50pm show and the least did I know that I nearly missed the LAST BUS HOME!!

My opinions:
Initially, I am really disappointed....T-T... I am serving the CCA as leader from the start of JAE and everyone regarded me as captain. You will also get the feeling..... Haizz.. thats the cold hard truth....
However, everyone still regarded me as their leader and a vice captain actually interacts more with the team while a captain interacts more with the teacher.... So i actually like to interact more with the team...
By advice from the Seniors: Our LS teacher-in-charge has Short Term Memory (STM) and attitude problem... and any blames or wrongs we can all push it to the captain Xp so hahahas....
Hence, I finally Love my appointment...

Thus, I Love LS and LS Roxz!!! WOo...!!!

Pre-U Sem Food Helper experience

Hahas not another installement for Wii but i will talk a bit about Nintendo DS
But 1st, let me talk about my journey as a food helper.
Basically, my job is to sort out the Non-Halal, Halal, and Vegetarian food, give out drinks and an announcer to disseminate in information about the food.
People who joined me in my mission: Wei Yang (Liaison Officer), Phoebe (Ang Moh Girl), Wei Neng (China Boy), Gina, David, Bellina and Rachel. Also, our helpful teacher: Ms Lim

1st day (26 May 2008): A complete hectic on the 1st afternoon tea. I was in charge of Canteen 13 the one nearest to the ops room. We also need to reconfirm the food preferences of everyone. Many people changed but some SLO's gave attitude especially to Phoebe! Lols...

I knew "We LOVE Cooking Mama!" We played Wei Neng's DS till it got a red batt... Especially, Gina and Phoebe.... Also, I knew that Phoebe cant cook well...lols... We had our dinner at Canteen 16 which had air-con...wow but the food there only the western food looks appetizing.

Furthermore, I remembered that the participants are so wasteful. They did not eat or finish their food. Hence, there are many left overs.... ARGH! *-* During dinner, We got piss off some of them change their food preferences again! 2 girls changed from Halal to Non-Halal...So ***... Even Ms Lim came to tell them off.

2nd day (27 May 2008): That day we came later about 12pm. We had to move the NEwater to the various canteen like 13,14,16. We used the trolley. Upon finishing the moving of the NEwater, I sat on 1 of the trolley and Wei Neng sat on the other. Next, Gina and Phoebe pushed me and the feeling was like kart racing...Woo!! Mario Kart Wii... lols... I even added sound effects and took some pictures of it. Looks childish rite? Hahahaz but its fun!

We had a lot of free time from 3 to 7pm so we played UNO and joked. Phoebe told us an experience so memorable...HAhas...
Phoebe said she went for a pirate ship ride. You know there is a security metal bar to lock your body and thighs? A girl beside her breath in when the metal bar came down and locked it so you should know??? It hurt her ****** lols.... then she told the worker to release it. Then, when the metal bar came down again at the thighs, she pressed it too hard and "OUCH! My thighs are aching!" HAHAHAHa... Thats not the worse one during the ride, when she scream all her saliva spit out down ON HER FRIENDS! It sprayed like a water gun on their foreheads and face and they had to cover their eyes and mouth when they are riding. EWW... disgusting right? Can u imagine that?? HAHHAHAHAHAHAz I laugh until my stomach pain ...

My personal opinion:

I got a Wii myself and i never regret buying this console. It brings joy to my life through those exciting games and the revolutionize gameplay. The way you play the games is really different from before.
The whole console is very slim and light but most importantly, it has my favorite colour WHITE! It also gives out a cool
blue glow that makes it so outstanding and WOW!!! Hahas...
Even though, the graphics is not as good as PS3 or XBOX360, it is the fun you get from the games that makes me going.
The Mii Channel lets you create freely your very own avatar, further more you can share your Miis' through the Check Mii Out Channel. Isn't it cool?

It is actually very useful. It has the forecasts channel that tells the daily weather forecasts and a news channel that has a daily dose of news at the comfort of your home.
Another fascinating feature is the ability to surf the web on TV! Wow imagine surfing the web on a 40" LCD TV!!!

Moreover, you can send messages to your fellow friends who also owns a Wii like a email and you can add reminders too.

*Remember DR.ABC

1. Check for Danger.
Say: Danger Clear!

2. Check for Response. (Tap on collar bone)
Say: Hello! Hello! Are you OK?
3. No response
4. Shout: Help! Call 995 for ambulance unconcious male/female (age) adult at (where).

5. *Chin lift head tilt (2 fingers supporting the jaw bone)

6. Check for Airway
Say: Airway Clear!

7. Check for Breathing- 10 secs (1 onethousand, 2 onethousand, 3 onethousand...10 onethousand)( Look-at the chest, Listen-for the breathing sound and Feel-for the exhaling air)

8. Give 2 Initial Blows (*Rmb Chin lift head tilt and pinch the nose and blow into the mouth)
9. Check for Signs of Life (e.g. eye brown twiching, finger moving)0r checking for Circulation- feel for the pulse at the carotid artery at the side of the Adam's Apple.
If no Signs of Life, Commence CPR

10. Use your fourth/ring finger to slide up the ribcage to the sternum
11. Put the bottom of the other hand on the found sternum and place the 2nd hand over the first using the finger-holding method
12. Do 30 compressions followed by 2 mouth-mouth blows

Continue for 5 cycles
*Elbows must not bend during compression and the counting is
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 10
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 15.......
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 30.

After 5 cycles,
-Check for Signs of Life
IF present, Check for Breathing
No breathing, commence EAR (Expired Air Resuscitation)
